Video games have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. My first experiences were with Mario and Zelda on the NES, but it wasn't until I got my PlayStation that I really delved deep into the realm of RPGs. Games like Final Fantasy VII, Front Mission 3, Suikoden II, and Final Fantasy Tactics left a lasting impression.
I tend to enjoy games that have an intriguing storyline and well developed characters. I'm also drawn to games that try to break the mold, and I feel that RPGs are the best genre to do this. Suikoden II in particular stands out to me because of its simplistic, yet addictive gameplay. It has various unique gameplay mechanics such as being able to recruit 108 characters and manage a castle. Combined with an interesting storyline, everything blended in such a way that it made me feel attached to its world and characters. This can be said of many of the RPGs that I played throughout my childhood, and this immersive feeling is what draws me to this genre even in adulthood.
I am currently living in the Nashville, TN area and working as a User Experience Designer. I enjoy analyzing website layouts, phone applications, and marveling over cool logos. In my free time I like to play games, watch movies, and occasionally read manga.
